How
to Arrange a Housecall

a success, Dr. Rom provides the following information. To book,
1.) Please read the
information below on the two types of services offered;
2.) Call Dr. Rom's office at
510.496.3496 to arrange a date and time. You will be asked which
of the group programs you would like for your event; and
3.) Prepay your 50% hosting
deposit (Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover, etc.) by calling Dr. Rom's
office at 510.496.3496 to charge-by-phone. Or, if you prefer to pay online via PayPal, simply request that Dr. Rom send you an online invoice after the house call details, such as date and time, have been established. You may also mail in a check
(checks must clear one week in
advance of the event). The balance may be paid in cash or by credit card the day of the event.
Types
of Programs:
1. A Mediumship Demonstration: A
demonstration is a seated event where Dr. Rom will contact loved ones
on the other side and match them to your guests. This may take
place with seats arranged in a circle, such as in a living room, or classroom style. Demonstrations run about two hours, including
time for questions and answers. There is no guarantee that
everyone will receive a contact. For demonstrations there is an 8
(eight) guest minimum.
2. Multiple Private Sittings: Multiple private sittings are just that, an event wherein Dr. Rom
conducts short sittings individually for a predetermined number of
guests. For multiple private sittings there is an 8 (eight) guest
minimum. Readings may be divided as the host sees fit, although 20 minutes per guest is optimal.
Rates:Dr. Rom's rate for demonstrations and multiple private sittings is $175 hourly, plus the cost of her transportation (transit only for local events; for events beyond a 1/2 hr. from Manhattan, an hourly travel rate also applies). There is also a two hour minimum for all group events. The booking host, not the guests, are responsible for Dr. Rom's fee. Dr. Rom also works with a one-week cancellation policy on all group events.
Good Ideas to Make Your Event a Success
Please plan on having your guests arrive early and be settled in by the event's starting time.
The room Dr. Rom works in must be very quiet and free of distractions for the entire length of her work. A calm, comfortable, and relaxed environment is best. Noisy party environments are discouraged.
For demonstrations: In respect of Dr. Rom and the other guests in attendance, guests will be expected to arrive on time and remain present for the entire length of the demonstration. Dr. Rom respectfully asks for the full attention of her guests during the time.
Dr. Rom is pet-friendly and quiet pets, such as a lap cat or a calm dog are welcome provided they do not disturb your guests. Hyperactive dogs or clawing cats, for example, would be a distraction.
Young children needing parental supervision may not be in attendance.
Hosts are kindly asked to inform Dr. Rom in advance if any of their guests have hearing, speaking or seeing difficulties so that she can adjust her communication with them accordingly.
Dr. Rom strongly suggests guests do not drink alcohol before their private sitting or participation in a group demonstration.
Audiotaping and note-taking are always welcome for private sessions, however videotaping of any kind is not permitted.
Music may be used before the session, but not during it.
Some of Dr. Rom's clients prefer the option of a slightly longer session. For this reason, Dr. Rom will talk to the host ahead of time and make arrangements on an as-needed basis.
